Pool Noodle Multiplication Fun!

Playing games is a GREAT way to teach children…especially the little ones that NEED to move. Here’s a fun game I play with my boys.

Pool Noodle Multiplication Game

Purchased pool noodles at WalMart for 75 cents during the Summer.

Cut up pool noodles and write the product (answers) of the multiplication tables your child is studying. (Example: if they are learning the 3 times table, write the answers to the 3 times table on the pool noodles).

If you have one child, you will only need to create ONE set of numbers. Two children, make TWO sets of numbers.

Place one set of numbers in each pool float. Can use a bucket or bin, as well.

Rules: (two players but can be more)

Call out a multiplication problem. Both players will have to think of the answer (in their head) and run down to the floats to search for the correct answer. Once they find it, they have to run back to you. First player that reaches 12 points, WINS!

*This game can be modified many different ways. It would be lots of fun if played in a pool, a backyard with two large buckets filled with water or two small kiddie pools. Just drop the pool noodles in and have the kids dive for the answers!

Have some more fun by taking the game outdoors and putting on snorkeling flippers!
